TurkeyFest Nov 22 - Delivery Date!

TurkeyFest
I recently joined a new church as I search for some type of spiritual and emotional guidance and help in my life. The new church I have been attending, and delighted with, has been the Vineyard Church in Sharonville, Ohio. It has helped me tremendously in inspiring, and bringing the word of God and the holy spirit, into my life, and hopefully, into the life of my family.....one step at a time!

One of the many projects they do every year which I signed up to particpate in, along with the friend who introduced me to the Church, is the "TurkeyFest" for Thanksgiving. The objective is to fill an empty box with groceries for a less fortunate family so they can celebrate thanksgiving dinner in style!

Today we went to our neighborhood Kroger and purchased the food items- 12 Lbs Turkey with all the fixings- for the thanksgiving dinner. I am hoping the family which receives our gift will appreciate the gift as much as we enjoyed putting it together for them and and have a thanksgiving dinner celebration as most of us will be doing.

Saturday @ 10am we will deliver the box of items to the family, and I am excited at being able to participate in this event, and see the surprise on the faces of the family receiving the items. Sometimes, just seeing the pleasure and surprise in others makes ones day.....!
we'll see how it goes tomorrow when we deliver the "turkeyfest" to the needy family.......
